Feeling better, and feeling bigger! After spending two and a half weeks in Phil's gym clothes, and literally being too sick to look at myself, I felt a bit like a caterpillar coming out of its cocoon when I finally was able to brush my own hair, focus on my reflection in the mirror, and put on a dress again. And a pregnant caterpillar at that! That baby did a lot of growing while I wasn't looking.
I've been wearing maternity clothes a lot more often now, and sigh every morning when I look at a closet full of pretty clothes that don't fit. But this morning I found this dress that I featured in a wardrobe post back in the Summer of '09. Elastic waist, fuller skirt, and roomy bodice? All make for a good dress to wear while pregnant or not!

dress: Etsy (too long ago to know the shop) | belt: Dillards | shoes: thrifted
glasses: Etsy frames, prescription lenses
Oh my gosh! This outfit is on levels of adorable and cute! The dress is such a gem. I find it so cool and inspiring how you're able to maintain your vintage style without succumbing to ugly maternity garb! One of the cutest baby bumps around. Though, you may have a bit of competition now that Coury of Fancy Treehouse has a cinnamon bun in the oven also! :]

Oh thats so great that you're feeling better! I'm 23 weeks pregnant and totally know how you feel about the closet situation, the number of clothes that still fit me is slowly dwindling! It does feel good though to be able to fill out my flowy shirts and dresses with my little bump though :) congratulations again!

You dress SO nicely as a pregnant woman. I dressed like a hobo and it was terrible on my "fashion sense". I am glad you are able to brush your hair. Do you find that pregnancy changes the texture of your hair? Mine was so greasy for each pregnancy. It was terrible.

Victoria, thanks for your compliments! :) I had permed my hair when I cut it in December, and shortly thereafter became pregnant. So, I don't know if the texture has changed, but my perm has fallen out! I haven't noticed it being super greasy. thankfully!
