Friends, I cannot thank you enough for your outpouring of love and support over the past two weeks. I am finally starting to feel better physically and emotionally, and even have some new things to be excited about!
As you can see, I decided to chop off all of my hair! I was inspired by some courageous blogger friends, and of course the grief I've been wading through. The last time I chopped off my hair, my grandmother had just passed away, and I had found it to be quite a relief to just dive right into life and do something I had always wanted to do. So when I got home from the hospital, I immediately made a salon appointment. Don't be surprised if I spend the next few months tweaking the style here and there, but in the meantime, I'll just be having a lot of fun with the new 'do.
In other very exciting news, Phil and I are just heading out right now to sign the contract for the counter-offer the owners of house #1 made! We are so excited, and after looking at many homes, we knew that we would be very disappointed if this house slipped by us. So, we put in an offer, and they countered with the price we were hoping for! Hooray! Something new to be excited about is quite a relief right now. Soon I'll share with you the plans I'm already making for our new home. Yippee!

omg, thank you so much for the tag about how you took the pictures - I've been wondering what the best solution is, since I feel like a bother always asking people to do it for me. You look beautiful, and once you go short, you never go back!

Sometimes it helps to change our outer experience and show to the outside world that we've changed. You've been dealt a lot of grief lately....seeing your strength is an amazing experience. I never lost a child, but I did lose my fertility due to a choice to not ever bear a child once I went partially paralyzed, had emergency surgery, and learned to walk again. Had I not gotten a D&C and tubal ligation I would not ever have been able to heal and would have gone paralyzed again...forever. I send you my love to deal with all these things that have been happening. These things they try our faith but our faith is definitely what brings us through. You look freaking amazing in your short hair...and if it makes you stronger to deal with recent events...that makes it even more beautiful! Hearts, Janna Lynn

Glad that you've got other things happening to look forward to. You're gorgeous, and the hair really suits you! Very audrey hepburn actually with that cute lil fringe, sort of half hepbern, half audrey tatu (amelie/coco chanel)!
I hope that you find some peace, and I'd like you to know that your writing really touched me when you spoke about what you'd been through and the way people usually react to miscarriage. It really got me thinking. For that I really thank you.
I wish you all the best with your new house and new hair.

I miss your hair, but you are still cute as can be and that sweater is sooo cool. My mom is a big Peanuts fan and I can see her wearing it even (snoopy especially is her favorite).

Oooooh I love it! You look gorgeous and I can definitely see the Liz Taylor inspiration! I just cut my hair the shortest it has EVER been and I really like it, even though I'm sure there will be plenty of false compliments. I don't really care, I needed a fresh start too. :]

I love it! You look absolutely lovely with your new hair. After reading your latest posts about your recent losses (which really made my heart sink for you and your family) I am so happy to read that the two of you are setting out on a new life venture. I can't wait to read all about it. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been.

I actually just got my hair cut on Friday too! It's pretty much a pixie cut but not all one length- the front has side sweep bangs on one side and a "sprout" on otherside where it's very short. Mine has more of an edgy look and short than yours. I was a bit nervous but I think I can actually do a lot with it-- fluff it up or smooth it down and headbands add a change too. Your hair looks great and made me feel good knowing someone else went pretty short with me :)

You look beautiful Mandi! And I am so happy to hear you guys made an offer on that house! I can't wait to see what you do with it...
It's so good to see you healing and looking forward to the future. I know the past few weeks must have been impossibly tough but it seems like you've dealt with everything with such grace. You're amazing.
