One of my favorite parts of blogging is looking through my archives with a nostalgic sigh. Those were the good ol' days, weren't they? I think to myself. Ah, remember when I used to wear short, full skirts all the time? Ah, yes. Memories.
It's fun to document personal fashion in this digital age. With just a click of the button, I'm taken on a whirlwind tour through personal trends I've enjoyed through the past four(plus!) years. I have a feeling this time next year I will remember how I obsessed over the shift dress in 2011. But seriously, I stalk online store inventories for the cutest sleeveless dresses of them all.
When you think about it, sleeveless shift dresses are really quite perfect. For starters, they're awfully forgiving for any figure. Also, you can wear them just as they are on hot Summer days, throw a jacket or cardigan on for added warmth, or layer turtlenecks or interesting collared shirts underneath. I'm sure the options don't end there. But yes. I think it is a love affair I shall diligently document for all the world to see. :)
