When Amanda asked me to participate in her fun blog series by sharing a cute photobooth photo of myself and Phil, I realized that I don't really talk much about married life on this blog. Not that things don't get exciting around here, let me tell you! I mean, just yesterday we hunkered down on the sofa with some Little Caesars (like the innuendo in the photo above? We did!) and a DVD from the library. How much more exciting can it get? Well, I'll leave that up to your imagination. Or not. That could be a bit awkward.
Here are a few of our favorite date night activities (PG only. Ahem.):
- Going out for ice cream and talking about where we see ourselves in five years.
- Rolling a heavy black (or pink) ball in an attempt to knock down some pins.
- Enjoying a treat together while snuggled up at home.
- Hitting up some live music venues to listen to our favorite musicians.
- Visiting local art galleries and admiring the beautiful creations.
If you want some more fun date night ideas, check out this Catching Confetti series post by Naomi Davis of The Rockstar Diaries.
awww this is sweet. you're so funny. I giggled reading through this. Hard to talk about married life and keeping it PG, I think too!! Probably that is why I don't talk about it that often on my blog either! I love these shots. Cute date ideas too. I don't get to have too many dates with my hubby, and when we do, we usually take the boys with us, so it's not too much of a "date" afterall. haha.

So cute! And you two are adorable together. I love that ice cream cone print, where is it from? I know I have seen it before.
I guess this was the nudge I need to get my date nights in order. We have been together nearly 7 years and are getting married in March- I guess we just make sure to get in quality time...time talking and laughing without the TV or electronics. Have a great weekend. xoxo

Your date nights and my date nights sound eerily familiar, except we stream netflix instead of watch DVDs. Right now, we're having a Family Ties marathon. It's a lot cooler than it sounds. Actually, it's probably not...

Hi Mandi!
I recently started following your blog and I LOVE the posts with your vintage clothing. My younger 17 year old cousin has recently become very interested in vintage things also, and I would love to take her to some of the stores you shop in. We live about 1/2 hour south of Canton, although I'm not familiar with much of Canton, except the area around the mall. I wondered if you would give me some of the names of your favorite places so she and I could plan a shopping trip soon. My email is sunniejohns at gmail dot com. Thanks for the inspiration :)

I love this. You guys are two cute. Reading this made me want my husband and I to go on a double date. (That's meant to be more complimentary than creepy.)

you two sound like a fun and relaxed couple. I havent been bowling in ages, that sounds like a lot fun especially if I can find an alley that serves beer :)

Such a cute post! Love the ice cream photo and your blue and white quilt. :)

That picture of you two kissing behind the pizza box is so adorable! You two both have really pretty hair btw! I haven't been bowling in forever as well but it's always great to just cuddle down & watch a movie instead of trying to always run around & do something, which I'm trying to remind myself of more lately : ) Such a sweet post!

the ice cream photo made me giggle, little ceasers is still yummy after all these years (and $5!!!) and rear window is one of my fav classic suspense thrillers! sounds like a perfect date night!

Hi Mandi! What a sweet post! Our date nights are very similar!
Oh and I love Rear Window, and saw Dial M for Murder the other night! I love Hitchcock. Nothing beats a movie night and we recently started popping popcorn too for our little movies, well not for them, for us ;)
Take care!

You two are so cute together; I love your photos. I think it's fun reading about other blogger's lives {and about the people important to them} but like yourself I don't talk much about my Husband. It's kind of hard to I guess. :)
@Steffy ~ Lol, Husband and I are doing almost exactly the same except we're streaming Stargate SG1 instead of Family Ties. Same deal ~ probably not cool at all! : )
xox,
