It's the summertime, and the veggies are getting ripe! While I don't have the opportunity to grow a garden in my apartment, I do love taking advantage of the produce from the gardens of friends. Last Friday, the lovely ladies who hosted our last Thanksgiving dinner put together an intimate dinner party for a few close friends. The nice thing about living so close to friends is that we all can all ride our bikes to gatherings, bringing along drinks and treats.
After devouring delicious grilled shish kabobs and corn on the cob, the group of us biked through the city to go dancing, listen to our friends' bands, and meet up with even more lovely people of Canton. It was such a fun time, and really encouraging to see lots of other bikes tied up throughout downtown. But most of all, I really wanted to have a little garden of my own to grow delicious veggies and host friends during these warm months. Probably explains why I spent way too long looking at houses online last night...
are you sure you live in ohio, and not some kind of pretty, magical wonderland? ;) everything about these photos is so perfect and lovely.

Amazing..looks like so much fun! We just bought a house and this is our first yr growing a garden, love it. We have a pretty cool bike thing called tour de belleville coming up where the town blocks off streets for everyone to come out for a night ride..so excited,I love the midwest!
True story: my husband just went out to get bread co and called to say he saw a girl riding a retro bike like mine with a basket..I said "does she look happy?!" haha My bike is in pieces while I'm giving it a new paint job and I'm missing out!

Mmm, those drinks look lovely. I would love to get my hands on a bottle, even an empty one because the packaging is so quaint.
