A Mary Jane sort of girl might catch people off guard with her occassional sneaker-wearing. Phil gets such a tickle out of seeing me with tennis-shoes, he likes to call me "Spunky Brewster," a spin on the ol' childhood favorite.
So, I finally got a new pair of high-top Chucks, and Phil can't get over how cute they look. Worn with some sheer socks, and I think they're pretty versatile, if not cute. New Summer staple? Maybe. (Just beware of prancing about in tennis-shoes when wearing short skirts!)

I have the same issue. The only tennies I own have a huge platform wedge. But . . . I have given thought to some high tops like yours. Especially after I see how great you look in them!

I was compared to Punky Brewster the other day too! hehe I really do love this outfit, & it makes me want to get a new pair of chucks. I haven't had new ones for ages!

haha i had never even heard of punky brewster till a few years ago walking along the beach with a friend. A homeless man walked past me yelling "hey its the really punk brewster!!" pointing and more yelling followed. awkward.

This entry makes me wish having a pair of high tops. I used to wear them cosntantly to hid my skinny ankles when I was a child (3rd-9th grade) and then I switched to low-tops. You look great in your high tops!!!!!!!!! lovely!
