How does one wear a little green dress, pair it with tights, and not look like Robin Hood? I suppose leaving behind the feathered cap I tried on helped a bit. (No joke! I thought about wearing this feathered cap. That is actually what tipped me off to the overtly Robin Hood-like characteristics of this outfit) Nixing the bow and arrow and riding my bicycle instead of a horse helped a bit too.
In the end, the addition of navy tights, navy oxfords, and a navy beret made me feel decidedly less like a rogue Earl of Locksley and more like a pretty girl from the mod 1960s. Oh, and please check out the pockets on this dress! They are made from vintage fabric and have a genius placement on the back of the dress. Now I kind of want to sew pockets on the backs of some of my old and tired dresses.

Ooooooooooh! That dress IS genius. Cute pocket detail. I don't think you look like Robin Hood at all--unless Robin Hood was a much more stylish dresser ;-)

Adorable dress! I love green. Today I'm wearing a full on green dress, and my hubby called me his st. patricks girl... not exactly what I was going for. So kudos to you for making the green dress fabulous!

Embrace your inner Sherwood outlaw :). But I'm really bad for turning getting dressed into dressing up...
I am in awe of your thrifted shoes, I can never find anything a) that nice that b) fits my totally un-vintage sized feet! Really lovely outfit, and the composition of your photographs sets it off really well - the colour of the shop front is a perfect backdrop. x
