It's surprising how personal it can feel when a beloved movie star passes on. I can remember standing in a grocery store aisle in 1997 and seeing a newscast announcing Jimmy Stewart had died. I shed a tear, right there, as I helped my mom unload canned vegetables onto the conveyor belt.
Today, the world received news of the death of a very beloved Hollywood star. One of my favorite actresses of all time. As a tribute to her, I wanted to share some photographs of this timeless beauty, as well as honor her with an Movie Monday featuring my favorite favorite of all her wonderful performances.
It was a long productive career, and she was the most glamorous and sexual star of our generation,” Reynolds, 78, said in a statement. “No one else could equal Elizabeth’s beauty and sexuality. Women liked her and men adored her, and her love for her children is enduring. She was a symbol of stardom. Her legacy will last.

So beautiful! It's a great loss indeed, not many of todays stars can compare. Many might disagree but in regards to her beauty, talent and humanitarian efforts (heck maybe even romantic relationships), Angelina comes to mind as the Elizabeth Taylor of our generation. Condolences to her family, friends and fans.

So many of her movies are in my favorite list, it's hard to pick just one. Can't wait to see which movie you picked.

I love the nice things Debbie Reynolds had to say about Liz Taylor, considering their history. I mean, a few decades ago, Debbie's husband left her FOR Elizabeth Taylor...I was so happy to see the power of forgiveness manifested in that quote.
