Resolution #1
Make new friends.
As a week long kick off to the new year, I've invited several of my favorite bloggers to give their input for 15 fun new year's resolutions that everyone will want to implement in 2011.
Last year I make my own list of resolutions and was actually able to stick to each one of them. The reason being that they were all loads of fun and I couldn't wait to start crossing each one off the list.
So, keeping with the idea of exciting resolutions, the first item on this resolution list is to make new friends! 2010 was such a great year for me, due largely to the fact that I met so many amazing new people. In this post are some of the photos from our Canton New Year's shindig.
When I moved in the heart of Canton this past year, I didn't really know many people. Honestly, my social life really took off once I started hanging out at the coffee shop and meeting people through mutual acquaintances. Luckily, in Canton, most of the people I befriended are easy to find hanging out at the same places quite frequently, so if I pop into an establishment, I'm bound to find someone I know, or at least have met.
Meeting over coffee and drinks is a great way to get to know people, because they are usually ready to sit down and chat for quite a while. I've really loved finding out people's passions and what they're doing in life. Also, I've discovered that I wasn't the only one in the 20-something-boat where it's difficult to make new friends. I'm looking to make new friends, and the people I meet usually are too.
Being a person who is naturally a bit shy, I've really learned to come out of my shell and be confident in who I am. People appreciate genuine spirits (don't you?) and the easiest way to make new friends is just to be yourself and show true interest in the lives of those around you.
In 2011 I'm so looking forward to spending time with all of my wonderful friends, and hopefully getting to meet some new friendly faces!
What beautiful, beautiful friends. lucky girl:) and yes, genuine spirits are the best! Here's top making new friends in the new year!

Totally one of my goals for this year! It's super hard because my life is very hectic right now, but I'd really like to be more open + friendly this year. Your friends look pretty cool!

Beautiful photos and lovely friends! Looks like you guys had a blast. That is also one of my many many goals for 2011 as well. I'm too much of an introvert and it's difficult for me to make new friends outside of my full-time job. Here's to a new friend-filled year. Salud!:)

Looks like a lovely get together. Coffee dates really are the best way to get to know people. I agree completely!
