(and if you don't, what's wrong with you?!)
I thought I'd share my Thursday with you.
It all began with my cleaning out my horrendously cluttered car and finding a meaty black spider who wanted to say hello. (not so pretty, therefore no photos!)
Then I went to my favorite restaurant with my lovely and oh so generous friend Amy. (she stealthily swiped my bill and paid while I was busy gabbing away.)
It's the best vegan restaurant in town.
Then I visited a few lovely vintage clothing shops.
Now don't tell me, if you saw this open door, you wouldn't go inside! :) It's just beckoning me to spend spend spend!
I didn't spend, though. Not even a few dollars on one of these lovely brooches.
I have a funny relationship with vintage. I adore its charm and history, but at the same time am slightly creeped out. Have you ever been alone in a room filled completely with antiques and old photos of staring people that you know are dead right now? That's what I mean by creepy. Oh, and creepy like these mannequin heads. (mannequins have always been a huge fear of mine, for some unknown reason.)
Now, if I owned a vintage shop (brick and mortar, obviously) I think it would be so fun to see girls come into the shop and try on a lot of dresses and have a good ol' time doing so. But apparently, the vintage shops in the falls district don't agree. hmmmmmm....
Well, I hope I you felt like a kid in a candy store along with me. Maybe if you come to visit me, we can go shopping, put our hair up in victory rolls, and have a vintage photo shoot downtown? I think that would be lovely.
That looks like an amazing store! I am so jealous. We don't have stores like that where I live. =( I can only dream...or read posts like yours =) xx

oh AND i am terrified of mannequins too....right by where my friend lives there is this woman who sells mannequins and she puts them all over her lawn as if to entice you to buy. its horrible!

Mmmmm. We only have one semi decent vintage store. Except it's kinda cliche and expensive. Ah well, I find good stuff at Savers. For like three bucks, haha.
