Black Socks! They're not just a scandelous baseball team. Oh, contraire. Sometimes they are excellent additions to an otherwise understated outfit. For me, it's all about the contrast. When wearing a light colored dress paired with a black belt, the opposite scheme works quite well on my feet - black socks with light shoes complete with little ankle straps.
I just made a large sock purchase at Macy's last week, so expect a lot of socks in the near future. I think this might be my new "thing."

I'm not a huge fan of the socks trend in general, but I have to say that I really like the sheer ones that you have.

I would have never thought to pair black socks with my heels but it really works. A big sock purchase may be in my near future :)

the little black socks look great with the shoes and dress. I love the bit of colorful shirt underneath it too. yey for more layers (since you commented on my layers recently). ;)
