Trucking Along.
July 10, 2009
Today my kids' (that I nanny) mom will be working from home. So that means, I will be too! Next week I will be sending out my paper designs for a press check, and then once I'm sure everything looks fabulous, they'll be off to press! It should take about a week from that time, and then I will assemble the mini album kits which will be available for purchase. I've decided to go in a different direction with the kits, for several reasons. Probably the biggest reason is because it has taken longer than I expected, and I'd prefer a vintage fall vibe more than the mod summer look of the previous designs. Also, because I'm not a vendor, I can't affordably stock my kits with other manufacturer's items, such as letter stickers or cardstock. But I will suggest items that you can purchase that will coordinate nicely with my designs. Here's what the little kit will consist of:
10 sheets of exclusive patterned papers designed by me
1 6"x6" wooden mini album
10 vintage buttons for embellishments
2 nice sized vintage fabric pieces
and possibly 2 pieces of kraft cardstock and a bit of lace.
The paper designs won't be sneaked on my blog until about a week before the kits are available for purchase, but they are all brand new designs that are inspired by vintage textiles.
So, that's what I'm working on finishing up today! But for now, here's a layout I made at the SIS event a couple of weeks ago. I used vintage wallpaper that I bought at the SIS boutique. Cuuuute!
Thanks, Jaimie, for the embellishments I used on this page! :)

seriously love your work! I find so much inspiration here.

I looked at your page and was like 'hmm, I think I own those butterflies...OH WAIT! YAY!' I love that you used embellishments and still kept the page so 'you'. Oh girlie, I miss you. I think you and Vanessa should forget meeting in the middle and just come over here!

The previous designs were so beautiful! I hope you have something similar in the actual kit. I am very excited to see it! Going to have to keep an even closer eye on your blog! ;)
